This position is strictly on-site within a local district and requires itinerant travel among various elementary, middle, and high school campuses, so flexibility and enthusiasm for variety are key.

Qualifications:

• Current, active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Valid educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting preferred
• Knowledge of best practices for serving diverse student populations (PreK-22)
• Ability to manage and adapt caseloads based on school assignment
• Timely completion of fingerprinting for credentialing prior to start date

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other support professionals
• Travel between assigned campuses to provide direct therapy and consultative services
• Document therapy sessions, progress, and participation accurately
• Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams and meetings
• Adjust interventions to accommodate changing student needs and schedule variations
