Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) – Desoto, TX

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position with a school district in Desoto, TX. The position includes managing and overseeing the work of four Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

Candidates must be proficient with ESPED/Frontline systems and meet all local and state regulatory requirements to be considered.

Position Details:

• Location: Desoto, Texas

• Schedule: Full-Time, Contract

• Contract Duration: Through the 2025-2026 school year, with potential renewal based on performance

Requirements:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas

• Full compliance with state and local school-based OT regulations

• Knowledge and proficiency with ESPED/Frontline platforms

• Experience supervising COTAs in an educational setting

• Strong background working with special education students and families is highly preferred

Typical Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services aligned with student IEP goals

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student needs

• Supervise and support the daily operations of 4 COTAs

• Document services and student progress using ESPED/Frontline

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education staff, administrators, and families

• Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal documentation and reporting standards
