Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a dynamic educational team in Dighton, MA starting in July 2025. This part-time position involves providing occupational therapy services to a K-12 caseload of students, ensuring that each child has the support they need to succeed in their academic and social endeavors. The selected candidate will work 12 hours per week from Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience working as an OT in a school setting and possess the skills necessary to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting occupational therapy assessments for K-12 students

  • Developing and implementing IEP goals and individualized therapy plans based on assessment results

  • Providing direct therapy services to students with a variety of needs, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation

  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support students’ academic and developmental success

  • Participating in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and review of IEPs, and monitoring student progress

  • Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district guidelines

  • Offering consultation and support to teachers on classroom modifications and student accommodations

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting

  • Knowledge of IEP development, evaluation processes, and school-based therapy interventions

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
