Occupational Therapist School Setting in Florissant, MO

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist for a 12-week contract beginning October 14, 2026. This on-site position, located near Florissant, MO, focuses on providing OT services within a school district setting and covers an FMLA leave through late January 2027with the possibility of extension if needed. Youll work closely with a dedicated student population, delivering therapy and collaborating with educational teams to promote functional independence and success in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Missouri is required
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school-based OT documentation
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting and submission of a technology form

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as assigned
• Evaluate student needs, set goals, and deliver evidence-based interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families
• Travel between multiple sites within the district, as needed (number of schools to be determined)
• Maintain timely and accurate records and reports
• Adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy
