Occupational Therapist School Setting in Hamtramck, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active state OT license (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Previous experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently without COTA supervision
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of IEP process and student documentation requirements

Role Details and Duties:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a caseload of 30-40 students ages K-12
• Evaluate students to determine therapy needs and appropriate interventions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support academic participation, daily routines, and functional independence
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals and progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress for compliance and reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
