Occupational Therapist School Setting in Manchester, CT

Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students within dedicated Autism program classrooms as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time contract opportunity offers a rewarding chance to deliver direct services in a collaborative educational environment. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through June 2027, with a weekly commitment of 22.5 hours distributed Monday through Friday.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
• Prior experience within a school-based or pediatric setting, especially with students with Autism, is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
• Commitment to providing individualized, student-centered care
• Comfort working across multiple locations within three elementary school buildings
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-classroom environment supporting approximately 50 students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to students in elementary Autism program classrooms
• Collaborate with special education teams to support student goals and progress
• Document and monitor student outcomes, aligning interventions with IEP objectives
• Adapt and modify activities and environments to promote access and participation
• Support classroom staff with strategies and techniques to maximize student success
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding student progress
