Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mcdonald, NM

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by stepping into this contract Occupational Therapist opportunity for the upcoming school year. Based in a welcoming school community near McDonald, NM, you'll help support K-12 learners from August 2024 through May 2025. This role involves working collaboratively within the school environment to create accessible, supportive learning experiences for all students.

In this position, you will:

• Assess and treat students with physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges impacting participation in school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and student-centered goals
• Conduct thorough evaluations, engage students in therapy sessions, and document progress and outcomes
• Educate and support school staff with strategies to help students thrive in the classroom

Ideal qualifications include:

• A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Occupational Therapist License
• Required state licensure/certification
• Previous experience in a school setting
