Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time role with school districts in the Middletown, CT area. This position offers a chance to positively impact the academic and functional growth of students in a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Minimum Requirements – Connecticut State

Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications to be considered:

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

• Possess an active Connecticut State Occupational Therapist License

• Have experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or clinical setting

• Meet all local and state requirements, including:

  • Certification by the Connecticut Department of Education (CDE)

  • Completion of fingerprinting and background checks

  • Adherence to professional development and continuing education requirements

Candidates who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' functional abilities

• Develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the educational team

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities or delays in development

• Design and implement strategies to improve student participation in school activities

• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth
