Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time role with school districts in the Middletown, CT area. This position offers a chance to positively impact the academic and functional growth of students in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Minimum Requirements – Connecticut State
Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications to be considered:
Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Possess an active Connecticut State Occupational Therapist License
Have experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or clinical setting
Meet all local and state requirements, including:
Certification by the Connecticut Department of Education (CDE)
Completion of fingerprinting and background checks
Adherence to professional development and continuing education requirements
Candidates who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' functional abilities
Develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the educational team
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities or delays in development
Design and implement strategies to improve student participation in school activities
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth
