Blazer Jobs is actively partnering with public school districts across Minnesota to hire licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) for the 2025–2026 academic year. If you're passionate about helping students gain the functional and developmental skills they need to thrive in school, we’d love to connect with you.
As a school-based OT in Minnesota, you’ll be an essential member of the special education team, working with students to build independence in classroom participation and daily routines. You’ll develop individualized strategies to support fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and functional performance in collaboration with educators and families.
Opportunities are available throughout the state, including in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, Duluth, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, and other surrounding communities.
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations as part of special education assessments
Design and carry out intervention plans aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings within the school environment
Monitor student progress and document services per Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requirements
Collaborate with IEP teams, including teachers, parents, and related service providers
Recommend tools, accommodations, or environmental adjustments to support access and participation
Ensure compliance with IDEA and Minnesota-specific educational standards
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid Minnesota OT license issued by the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
Experience in school settings is highly valued
Strong familiarity with the IEP process and school-based service delivery
Must pass Minnesota state background check and fingerprinting for school employment
Both part-time and full-time roles available
Contract runs from August 2025 through June 2026
