School Occupational Therapist - New Britain, Connecticut

Step into a rewarding school-based contract role serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade as an Occupational Therapist, with consideration for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as well. This opportunity covers approximately 12 weeks for an FMLA leave, with a strong possibility of extension, though the initial contract is exclusively for the leave duration. What You Bring:

• Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Connecticut COTA license/certification (CT DPH; NBCOT Exam passed)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Reliable transportation to support service across school sites
• Comfort working with a wide range of disabilities and age groups, from Pre-K through high school
• Commitment to completing the full temporary leave assignment, understanding that while extension is likely, it is not guaranteed

In This Role You Will:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services for students throughout the district
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document student progress
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure student goals are being met
• Support students with diverse physical, developmental, and sensory needs to enable participation in educational activities
• For COTA applicants, work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist

This full-time, district-wide position typically spans 77.5 hours per day, with the finalized schedule confirmed by the district. All interviews will be conducted virtually for your convenience.
