Position Overview:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

  • Contract Term: 2025-2026 School Year


Minimum Requirements (Minnesota):

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet all state and local requirements, including:

  • Active Occupational Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice

  • Master’s degree (or higher) from an accredited Occupational Therapy program

  • NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

  • Current CPR certification

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required

  • Minnesota Department of Education licensure or eligibility may be required based on district policy


Typical Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills to determine therapy needs

  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans that support IEP goals

  • Provide both direct therapy and consultative services to students and staff

  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success

  • Document progress, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state and district policies

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals and accommodations

  • Support student independence and engagement in school activities and routines
