Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Phoenix, AZ area. Requirements

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Master’s preferred)

• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners

• Successful completion of the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) examination

• Knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state special education regulations

• Ability to pass a state and federal background check and fingerprint clearance (IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card)

• Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assess students to determine occupational therapy needs related to educational performance

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team

• Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group settings

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to increase student participation and access

• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and student progress

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student achievement

• Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and professional development sessions

• Stay informed on best practices and Arizona state guidelines for occupational therapy
