Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Phoenix, AZ area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to help students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and in daily life within a supportive school environment.
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Master’s preferred)
Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
Successful completion of the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) examination
Knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state special education regulations
Ability to pass a state and federal background check and fingerprint clearance (IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card)
Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but not required
Assess students to determine occupational therapy needs related to educational performance
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team
Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group settings
Adapt classroom activities and materials to increase student participation and access
Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and student progress
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student achievement
Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and professional development sessions
Stay informed on best practices and Arizona state guidelines for occupational therapy
