Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, Alabama-specific Occupational Therapy certification or license (must provide proof of credential)
• School-based occupational therapy experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and tailored intervention planning
• Ability to work effectively both one-on-one and in small group settings
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and educational staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students (caseload of approximately 50-60 per assignment)
• Conduct therapy sessions as prescribed by IEP: 30 minutes weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
• Travel between four local schools within the district, adhering to a consistent schedule of 7:45 am - 3:45 pm
• Implement push-in support within classroom environments when indicated
• Assess, document, and evaluate student progress, participating in IEP meetings and developing treatment plans tailored to student needs
• Maintain clear, compliant records to support student growth and regulatory guidelines
