School Occupational Therapist | Pittston, Pennsylvania

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving early childhood settings as an Occupational Therapist in the Lackawanna County region. This onsite position involves working closely with young children across local school environments. The commitment is 21 hours per week across 2-3 days, with the exciting potential to expand to a full 5-day schedule over the course of the calendar year. Your role will support students growth, participation, and skill-building as part of a dynamic educational team.

What youll bring:

• Active Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Pennsylvania
• Experience delivering OT services in schools is highly valued
• Background working with early childhood or younger populations
• Ability to provide Pennsylvania clearances (or willingness to obtain them)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct occupational therapy services to early learners in alignment with IEP objectives and district policy
• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate student needs and developing individualized intervention plans
• Coaching and collaborating with educators and families to support carryover strategies across home and school environments
• Maintaining documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and school guidelines
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to student-centered planning

This contract begins as soon as possible and runs through June 16, 2027. Interviews are conveniently conducted virtually via Zoom. As the program expands, there is a clear path for increased hours and professional engagement throughout the academic year.
