Occupational Therapist School Setting in Schaumburg, IL

Step into a rewarding position as a school-based Occupational Therapist, supporting students across Pre-K through transition-age (up to 22 years old) in a dynamic, itinerant role. Embracing variety in your daily routine, youll work full-time hoursbetween 35 and 37.5 hours weeklytraveling among several elementary, middle, and high school campuses situated near Schaumburg, IL.

In this contract position, youll collaborate closely with educational teams to assess students needs, deliver individualized therapy, and help shape supportive learning environments that foster independence and growth. As part of a multidisciplinary approach, your expertise will ensure that each child receives the support they need at their assigned school site.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Background in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
• Experience working with a wide range of age groups, from early childhood to transition-age students (up to 22)
• Ability to manage varying caseload sizes and adapt to new environments across multiple campuses
• Fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing required prior to starting

What Youll Do:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in collaboration with educators and support staff
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
• Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Support students in developing essential life skills for academic and personal success
