Description:
A progressive and student-centered school district in Seattle, WA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, school-based position offers the opportunity to support K–12 students in developing the functional skills essential for learning, participation, and independence in the school environment.

The OT will play a key role in supporting students’ sensory, motor, and self-help needs while collaborating closely with educators and families to promote inclusive learning.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K–12 students

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and functional assessments

  • Develop and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals

  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings and planning sessions

  • Document services, student progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and state guidelines

  • Address sensory regulation, fine motor development, self-care skills, and classroom access

  • Provide consultation to staff on environmental modifications and adaptive strategies


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Active Washington State Occupational Therapist License issued by the Washington State Department of Health

  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) preferred or must be eligible to obtain

  • Prior school-based experience is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and special education procedures

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
