About the Opportunity:
This full-time, onsite role (35 hours/week from August 12, 2025 – June 3, 2026) is with a supportive school district that has multiple needs, offering a diverse and engaging caseload that will be tailored to your experience and expertise. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing essential services to students to enhance their participation in educational activities.
Job Duties May Include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-perceptual, and self-care needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives.
- Providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services in individual and group settings, addressing areas such as handwriting, cutting, self-feeding, dressing, and sensory regulation.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and daily routines.
- Consulting with school teams on adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and strategies to support student access and participation.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in IEP meetings.
Special Requirements:
- An active California Occupational Therapist License is required. You must be willing to obtain licensure in the working state for this and future assignments.
- No additional educator credential needed.
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued.
