Step into a meaningful role providing district-wide support as a school-based Occupational Therapist (OT), with consideration also given to experienced COTAs. In this full-time contract opportunity, youll deliver essential services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade, ensuring access to the therapies that help them thrive academically and personally. This assignment covers a maternity leave, with a strong likelihood for extension, so candidates should be committed to a temporary start with possible continuation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut OT license or COTA certification (CT DPH License and NBCOT exam required)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Reliable transportation to travel between district locations
  • Comfort supporting a broad range of student needs and ages

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across the district
  • Implement and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and related service staff
  • Support educational access by addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills within the school environment
  • For COTAs: Work under the supervision of a licensed OT
  • Track and document progress according to district and legal requirements
  • Attend IEP meetings, contribute insights, and help set student-centered goals
