Job Opening: Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist – Oakland, CA

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position in Oakland, California. Position Overview:

• Schedule: Full school hours, Monday–Friday

• Contract Duration: Full academic year with potential for renewal based on performance

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license in California

• Must meet all local and state regulations to provide school-based therapy services

• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred

• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students' IEP goals

• Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and small group settings

• Collaborate with special education teachers, school staff, and parents to develop and monitor student progress

• Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and IEP goals

• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, offering insights into therapy goals and interventions

• Provide training and resources to school staff and families to support students’ development both at school and at home
