Summer Elementary Paraprofessional

Location: Champlin, MN
Program Dates: June 11 – June 27, 2025
Hours: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $20/hour
District: Anoka-Hennepin Schools

Are you looking for a rewarding short-term opportunity to support students this summer? Join a collaborative and welcoming team in Champlin as an Elementary Paraprofessional during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is a great role for individuals passionate about education and student support.

Important Dates:

  • June 11: Teacher setup and training

  • June 12: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training (for applicable staff)

  • June 16–20: Instructional week (no school on June 19)

  • June 23–27: Instructional week

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers with daily learning activities

  • Work directly with students 1:1 or in small groups

  • Assist with student behavior and emotional regulation

  • Participate in CPI training if assigned to students requiring it

Requirements:

  • Must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or

  • Have at least 60 college credits (must provide transcripts)

  • Willingness to complete CPI training on June 12 (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

  • Open to transitioning to a direct-hire position with Anoka-Hennepin after 90 days
