Step into a pivotal support role driving student success as a Special Education Para for the Evaluation Team at a leading district near Champlin, MN. This unique position centers on vital behind-the-scenes contributions, collaborating with special education professionals to facilitate the evaluation process for students. Rather than working directly with students, your strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail will help ensure that evaluations are completed smoothly and efficiently.

Starting September 8, 2026, through June 8, 2027, youll work on a weekday schedule of 32.5 hours weekly (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), primarily traveling among schools within Champlin, MN. The ESC will serve as your homebase.

Key Requirements:

• Must be Highly Qualified before being considered (either by passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam or by submitting transcripts showing 60+ college credits).
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, ideally in special education or school settings.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage testing protocols, student files, and time-sensitive tasks.
• Strong written communication for observation notes and file documentation.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable handling a fast-paced, high-volume workload.
• Professional, collaborative approach with educators and administrators.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support special education staff in conducting and completing student evaluations.
• Organize, review, and maintain confidential student files.
• Assist with testing protocols, observe students as part of evaluation, and write reports.
• Coordinate with schools to purge and return files after evaluations.
