Paraprofessional – Full-Time (School-Based) | Anoka, Minnesota
Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Paraprofessionals for a full-time, school-based contract role in Anoka, MN. This is a fantastic opportunity for compassionate, dedicated individuals looking to support students and educators in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
We are seeking professionals who are passionate about education and skilled in working with students—particularly those receiving special education services. Renewal opportunities may be offered based on performance and district needs.
Location: Anoka, Minnesota area
Position Type: Full-time, contract
Setting: School-based
Start Date: Immediate or as coordinated with the district
To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, which may include:
High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or 60+ college credits preferred)
Must meet Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requirements for paraprofessionals, which typically include:
Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or
An associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.), or
A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
Completion of district-specific training or orientation, if required
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance
Prior experience working with students, particularly those in special education settings, is strongly preferred
Typical duties of a school-based paraprofessional may include:
Supporting students with special needs in academic and behavioral settings
Assisting with instructional tasks under the direction of certified teachers
Providing 1:1 or small-group support to students with IEPs
Helping manage classroom behavior and routines
Supporting students with mobility, communication, or personal care needs (depending on assignment)
Documenting student progress and participating in team meetings as needed
Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment
