What youll bring:

• Must be highly qualified by one of the following:
  Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
  At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required for verification)
• School-based paraprofessional experience strongly preferred
• Ability to provide an up-to-date resume and required documentation for district review
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across various educational settings
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students

Role expectations:

• Support classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral strategies
• Assist students with academic, emotional, or physical needs as directed
• Promote student independence and self-confidence
• Foster a nurturing and encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with special education teams when needed

This contract position offers 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the initial assignment extended through November 2026. After completing a 90-day (422-hour) contracting period, successful candidates may transition to a direct hire with the district.
