Instructional Assistant - Anoka, MN

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced paraprofessionals interested in supporting students in a school environment for the full 2026-2027 academic year, with positions beginning as soon as possible and extending through early June 2027. These contract roles offer consistent weekly hours (33.75) in both resource and center-based settings, fostering growth and meaningful connections with students and educational teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience working in a school environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meets at least one of the following:
  • Completion of two years (typically 60 credits) of college coursework from an accredited institution
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Passing score on a recognized basic skills assessment (such as a score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment, or the cut scores on the ParaEducator assessments)

Responsibilities in the Role:

• Support instructional goals under the direction of classroom teachers
• Assist with student engagement and classroom organization
• Work directly with students in resource or center-based settings
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Communicate effectively with team members, teachers, and students
• Support data collection and basic record-keeping related to student progress
