Step into a meaningful role supporting young adults with disabilities in a dynamic educational setting near Arvada, CO. This contract opportunity focuses on providing dedicated behavioral support and daily living assistance in transition services for students aged 18-21+. Youll play a key part in helping individuals develop independence and social skills, applying your expertise to a significant/severe caseload.

The school is looking for an experienced paraprofessional with a strong behavioral backgroundpreferably within school environmentsand a genuine passion for community-based instruction. Candidates must have proven skills working with behavioral needs and, ideally, communication devices. Diligence, compassion, and adaptability are essential as you collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families.

Desired Qualifications:

• Documented experience supporting students with behavioral challenges, preferably in school settings
• Familiarity with significant/severe needs caseloads highly preferred
• Experience assisting young adults with disabilities in community or transition roles
• Comfort with supporting students using communication devices
• Reliable personal transportation (rideshare services do not qualify)
• Flexibility to assist with toileting and diapering as required
• Ability to report on-site promptly by 8:00am each day
• Willingness to complete immediate fingerprinting following offer acceptance (any felony/misdemeanor charges are disqualifying)
• Two completed professional RefAssured references must be submitted at time of application

Job Duties:

• Support students with daily routines, both in classroom and community settings
• Implement individualized behavioral interventions
• Encourage independence and social interaction
• Communicate effectively with educational teams and families
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering when necessary
