Instructional Assistant - Aurora, CO

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• At least 1 full year of experience working in SPED (Special Education) classrooms is a must
• Strong preference for background managing significant or severe caseloads
• Ability to provide 2 completed professional RefAssured references along with your application
• Candidates are required to have reliable personal transportation (ride-shares and taxis do not qualify)
• Must be able to consistently report for work by 7:40am (elementary) or 8:00am (middle/high)
• Willingness to be fingerprinted immediately upon offer, with the understanding that any criminal charges will disqualify candidates
• Candidates should be adaptable and willing to work at different nearby school sites and with various age groups as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance to students in special education settings, potentially including 1:1 support
• Facilitate classroom activities under the direction of certified staff
• Maintain a proactive and flexible approach, as reassignments between school sites and programs may occur
• Support students in daily living skills, including toileting and diapering as required
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all students

Contract Details:

• Full school year (August 11 through May 21, 2027)
• Assignments available at several elementary, middle, and high school sites (hours range from 3437.5 per week)
• Must be able to provide references at the time of application to be considered
