Special Education Para Professional in Avon, CO

This contract position starts immediately and runs through late May, offering a consistent, structured environment and the chance to contribute to a dynamic education team. Youll be working closely with a small caseload of five students in grades 68, fostering their growth in both academic and social settings.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in school settings, particularly with students who have significant support needs.
• Familiarity with middle school age groups (6th8th grade).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and administration.
• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group support to assigned students, promoting optimal learning and engagement.
• Assist in implementing educational programs and behavior management plans as directed by lead teachers and special education staff.
• Support students with daily routines, academic tasks, mobility, and communication needs.
• Document progress and observations to ensure effective communication with team members and guardians.
• Contribute to the creation of an inclusive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
