Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school or similar environment is desirable
• Punctuality, flexibility, and a strong, student-centered mindset
• Ability to take direction from the classroom teacher and collaborate within a team
• Willingness to provide personal care and safety support to students as needed
• Current or willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within the first 10 school days
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred; if not already completed, CPI training will be arranged upon hire
• All required clearances and references must be provided to complete the application process
• Open to individuals committed to professional growth and creating a supportive atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with daily activities, learning tasks, and behavior support in an Autistic Support classroom
• Support the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
• Provide personal care and attention to students, adhering to individual needs and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the teaching team, delivering feedback and support as directed
• Ensure punctual attendance and active engagement throughout the workday (8:50 am 3:50 pm, 32.5 hours/week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the standards of the school at all times
