We are hiring full time paraprofessionals to join our K-12 Emotional Support Classroom in Bloomsbury, NJ! Our paras will be assisting our special education classrooms in 1:1 and classroom support based roles. If you are interested, please read the description below and apply.

Location: Bloomsbury, NJ
Duration: September 2025 - June 2026
Full Time: 32.5 Hours/Week
Caseload: Assisting K-12 Students 


Job Duties
  • Support Classroom Activities: Assist in the implementation of instructional programs and activities designed by the teacher. Provide support during large group and small group activities to ensure all students are engaged and participating.
  • Create a Positive Environment: Help maintain a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Assist with Daily Living Skills: Aid students with diapering, toileting, hygiene, and other daily living habits, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with special needs, adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
  • Behavioral Support: Monitor and support positive behavior in the classroom, following the teacher's guidance and school policies.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other staff members to ensure consistent and effective communication regarding student progress and needs.
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times, both in the classroom and during other school activities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher OR
  • Certifications: A passing ParaPro test score
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Must be okay with toileting students
Hourly Pay: $20-22+ depending on experience
