Needed - Paraprofessional - Chicago

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessional to support students in general education classrooms across K–12 grade levels in Chicago, IL for the 2025–2026 school year. The paraprofessional will work under the direction of certified teachers and school administrators to help foster a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities

• Support students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts

• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and during school activities

• Provide assistance to students with behavioral, emotional, or academic needs

• Help maintain classroom organization and manage instructional materials

• Monitor and record student progress and communicate observations to educators

• Follow school policies and procedures while supporting a respectful and safe learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Associate’s degree or at least 60 college credit hours preferred

• Paraprofessional certification (or ability to obtain based on state requirements)

• Previous experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations

• Must pass all required background and fingerprint clearances
