We are hiring multiple educational technician to join our district in Damariscotta, ME! Educational Technicians will be assisting our special education classrooms in 1:1 support based roles. If you are interested, please read the description below and apply.

Location: Damariscotta, ME
Duration: ASAP - May 2025
Full Time: 32 - 35 hours/week
Caseload: K-8

Job Duties

• Individualized Instructional Support: Assist the student with understanding and completing classroom assignments, adapting materials when necessary to align with the student's IEP goals.
• Behavioral Support: Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support positive behavior reinforcement strategies.
• Social Skills Development: Encourage and support peer interactions and socialization, fostering independence in social settings.
• Personal Care Assistance: Help with daily living activities as needed, such as mobility, eating, toileting, and personal hygiene, in accordance with the student's physical needs.
• Classroom Integration: Facilitate the student's participation in classroom activities, adapting instructions and tasks to ensure inclusion in general education or special education settings.

Requirements:

• Must have an Ed Tech Authorization (II or III)
• Trained or willing to train in the QBS safety care method
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have reliable transportation

Hourly Pay: $24-26+
