Job Description:

We are seeking four experienced Educational Technicians (Ed Tech II or III) to provide full-time support to students in grades K–8 in Damariscotta, Maine for the 2025–2026 school year. This is an onsite-only position working with 1–3 students with behavioral and academic support needs.

Ideal candidates will have strong behavioral experience, including training in QBS Safety-Care (or willingness to obtain), and familiarity with ABA strategies and PECS.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and other Ed Techs to support students

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students in both general and special education settings

  • Assist in preparing and implementing instructional materials and behavior plans

  • Implement structured MTSS and special education behavior plans

  • Provide direct instruction and executive functioning support

  • Monitor and document student academic, behavioral, and social progress

  • Supervise students during transitions, in-class activities, and non-academic times

  • Participate in annual Safety-Care (QBS) training


Caseload Details:

  • K–8 student population

  • Support for 1–3 students per role

  • Students require varying levels of behavior and academic support


Requirements:

  • Valid Ed Tech II or III certification in the state of Maine

  • Extensive experience working with students with behavioral challenges

  • QBS Safety-Care certified (or willingness to complete training provided by the school)

  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Ability to manage behaviors while fostering a safe, positive learning environment
