Special Education Para Professional in Doylestown, PA

Multiple paraprofessional positions are available serving K12 students with high-intensity needs. Youll provide hands-on assistance in classrooms, implement behavioral safety strategies, and make a direct impact every day.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting working with children with severe autism and behavioral challenges (PreK12); must be clearly reflected on your resume.
• Ability to manage and support students who may demonstrate aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and require intensive safety interventions.
• Must reside within 35 minutes of the worksite.
• Commitment to a full-time schedule: MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week (7:30 AM3:00 PM).
• Attend a mandatory orientation week (8:30 AM4:30 PM) prior to starting.
• Ability and willingness to assist with toileting, diapering, feeding, physical transfers, and daily classroom support for moderate to severe needs.
• Must meet, or be able to complete within 60 days, Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirements (college credits, degree, or certification).
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized classroom support to students with severe autism in either high school or elementary environments.
• Implement daily routines, safety protocols, and specific behavioral interventions.
• Adapt to evolving assignments and support needs as determined by school leadership.
