Instructional Assistant - Elk River, MN

Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified as a paraprofessional in Minnesota by meeting one of the following:
  • Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam), or
  • A minimum of 60 college credits, with official transcripts required (diploma or degree certificate alone will not suffice)
• Demonstrated experience supporting young children, especially in educational or developmental settings
• A passion for working with preschool students and a collaborative spirit
• Ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse classroom and provide compassionate support

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily activities tailored to the developmental stages of 2 to 3-year-old children in a center-based program
• Support licensed staff in implementing individualized learning strategies and classroom routines
• Promote a safe and supportive environment, encouraging engagement and positive social interactions
• Monitor student behavior and progress, reporting observations as needed
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families to ensure a cohesive team approach
