Teacher's Aide - Elk River, Minnesota

This contract opportunity involves working closely with students in resource settings, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase classrooms, and the Ready Set LAUNCH program. Key Qualifications:

• Must meet one of the following: Successful completion of the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam, or at least 60 college credits with transcript required (a diploma or degree alone does not qualify)
• Experience as a paraprofessional or working in a school environment is strongly preferred
• Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and daily care needs as part of support staff expectations
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
• Sensitivity to the needs of students in special education, with a patient and encouraging demeanor
• Availability to work weekdays, 32.5 hours per week on a contract through June 2027

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in special education resource, DCD, or LAUNCH programming
• Assist students with daily routines, academic activities, and personal care as needed
• Implement instructional plans created by teachers and document student progress
• Foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment
• Support classroom management and help adapt materials for student needs
