Para Professional in Elk River, MN

This contract opportunity is ideal for highly-qualified paraprofessionals who are eager to support elementary students in a vibrant educational environment. With several immediate openings across multiple elementary schools, candidates have the unique flexibility to select their preferred site. Assignments are 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing consistency and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Must meet ONE of the following:
  • Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam)
  • Minimum of 60 college credits, with official college transcripts (diplomas/degrees alone do not qualify)
• A complete, up-to-date resume
• Relevant experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desired
• Strong commitment to supporting all learners in an inclusive environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage daily responsibilities with professionalism

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and social support to students under teacher supervision
• Assist with classroom activities, adapt lessons and materials, and implement individualized plans as needed
• Support student engagement and safety during lessons and non-instructional periods
• Collaborate with teaching teams and other staff to create a positive educational atmosphere
• Contribute to documentation and communication regarding student progress and concerns
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times

This contract runs until late November 2026 and offers a path to direct hire after 422 contracted hours. Compensation is set at $20 per hour.
