Instructional Aide - Elk River, MN

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled paraprofessional working within resource and center-based settings. This position is located near Elk River, MN, with five openings available through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. You'll team up with educators to help provide crucial classroom support, contributing to a nurturing environment where students can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment
• High school diploma or equivalent, along with one of the following:
  • Completion of at least two years (typically 60 semester credits) of college coursework at an accredited institution
  • An associate degree or higher college degree
  • Passing score on an approved assessment (ParaPro: 455+ or ParaEducator: 65%+ Instructional Support & 70%+ Knowledge and Application)

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
• Provide individualized or small group support to students, depending on assigned caseload
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with a team of educators to ensure student goals are being met
• Support resource or center-based classrooms, as assigned

Details:

• Contract role beginning as soon as possible and continuing through 6/3/2027
• 33.75 hours per week, providing consistent engagement with students
• Caseloads may include both resource and center-based assignments, allowing for a variety of experiences
