Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for full-time Paraprofessional openings in Flint, Michigan, for the 2025–2026 school year. This position will run from August 19, 2025, through June 12, 2026.
Paraprofessionals will provide support across a variety of classroom environments including resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, and programs for students with cognitive and emotional impairments. Positions are available at all grade levels, and one opening specifically involves 1:1 support for a 1st-grade student who may display aggressive behaviors—prior experience in behavior intervention is preferred for this assignment.
These are full-time roles, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, with typical work hours between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, depending on the school site.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special needs in both academic and behavioral settings
Work 1:1 or in small groups as directed by certified teachers and service providers
Assist with IEP implementation and data collection
Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Foster student independence and social development
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Some districts may require a passing score on a paraprofessional exam or completion of 60+ college credit hours
Experience working with students with disabilities, especially those exhibiting behavioral challenges, is highly preferred
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
