Make a difference in a supportive school environment as a contract paraprofessional. Multiple opportunities are available to support students in elementary grade levels, helping foster both academic and functional growth. Youll collaborate with dedicated educators and staff to provide one-on-one or classroom-based supportmaking each day rewarding.

Current openings are available at the elementary level for immediate start through late May 2027. Schedules are full time, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 am to approximately 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Roles include working 1:1 with a third-grade student on functional and academic needs in a semi self-contained setting, supporting a kindergartner with behavioral needs, or assisting K-5 students in general education classrooms as an inclusion paraprofessional.

Desired Qualifications and Background:

• Active Illinois Paraprofessional (Para) License required
• Experience or strong comfort with supporting students exhibiting behavioral needs
• Willingness to assist with toileting support, if necessary
• Ability to work confidently with all elementary grade levels (Kindergarten through fifth grade)
• Must be eligible to work onsite and able to commute to the school location reliably
• Clean background check record required (district does not move forward with any candidate with flagged background checks)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students, either 1:1 or in inclusive classroom settings
• Collaborate with certified teachers and other support staff to implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Utilize effective behavioral management techniques
• Assist with daily living and self-care needs as required
