Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Paraprofessional Facilitator in a school setting near Harvey, LA! This full-time position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers you a chance to work in a dynamic educational environment alongside virtual school psychologists or speech-language pathologists. Youll play a key role in providing direct classroom support, fostering student engagement, and ensuring a positive learning experience for all.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree, or
• ParaPro Assessment score of at least 450, or
• Minimum of 48 completed semester credit hours
• Special education classroom experience required
• Must successfully complete district drug screening and fingerprint process
• Strong communication, organization, and technology skills
• Dedicated, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate student participation during virtual sessions with school-based psychologists or SLPs
• Provide hands-on classroom assistance, help with assignments, and encourage active engagement
• Implement teacher-developed strategies and behavioral interventions
• Supervise students to maintain a productive, safe, and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow confidentiality guidelines, and uphold school policies

This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day plus a 30-minute lunch), giving you consistency and a sense of structure. Exact caseload and campus assignments are to be determined, but youll be making a difference every day.
