Qualifications:

• Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit required and must be presented at application (pending permits must show a DEEDS portal screenshot)
• Experience working with young children exhibiting various behaviors such as tantrums, aggression, and elopement
• Skilled in behavior management, redirection, and implementing plan-based supports
• Must provide proof of completed $85 CBC fingerprinting requirement
• Comfortable working in a special education classroom, particularly with students implementing IEPs and BSPs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and specialists
• Willingness to follow specific protocols and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and guidance to preschool-aged students in inclusive classrooms or C-setting environments
• Assist with the implementation of behavior intervention plans as directed by the educational team
• Help students achieve academic and behavioral goals under guidance from educators and specialists
• Ensure safe and positive classroom dynamics by redirecting behaviors and assisting with transitions
