Classroom Aide | Hockessin, Delaware

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a paraprofessional in a vibrant elementary school environment. This contract opportunity spans approximately 60 days, providing essential programmatic support within Kindergarten classrooms. Work onsite during school hours, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), and contribute directly to student growth and classroom success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required and must be in hand at time of application; pending permits will not be considered (unless screenshot of DEEDS portal is provided).
• Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within elementary or early childhood settings, preferred.
• Ability to cover the cost of $85 CBC fingerprinting required for employment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to supporting educators and students.
• If holding an RBT, independent supervision arrangements will be necessary, as this role does not include BCBA supervision or RBT classification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver programmatic support throughout Kindergarten classrooms, adapting to school-wide needs.
• Assist with instructional activities, classroom management, and student engagement under teacher direction.
• Support classroom routines and help maintain an inclusive, positive learning environment.
• Contribute to student supervision and facilitate learning activities.
