Classroom Assistant | Hockessin, Delaware

Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting kindergarten classrooms as a Paraprofessional for a 60-day contract. Key Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit is required; candidates with a pending status must provide a DEEDS screenshotapplications without this documentation will not be considered
• Experience or training in programmatic and behavioral support, especially within early childhood or elementary settings preferred
• Ability to pass all mandated background screenings, including CBC fingerprinting and Child Protective Registry Check (expenses for fingerprinting are the candidates responsibility)
• Commitment to completing all district-required onboarding documents such as TB testing (unless providing virtual services), fingerprint receipt, and compliance forms
• Effective communication skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support in kindergarten classrooms
• Assist classroom teachers with daily routines, small group activities, and student engagement
• Facilitate inclusion and positive interactions among students with varying needs
• Document observations objectively and participate in team meetings as needed
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment

Assignment Details:

• Contract position, approximately 60 days
• Full-time, MondayFriday, 35 hours/week (30-minute unpaid lunch)
