Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Ability to follow teacher directives and work independently when needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications a plus

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities and classroom management
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special learning needs
• Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment for all students
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and implementation of lesson plans
• Monitor student progress and provide relevant feedback to teachers
• Contribute to a safe and orderly classroom atmosphere

This role requires a commitment of 30 hours per week in a contract capacity, supporting students and staff near Hornbrook and throughout the Mt. Shasta region. Two candidates are needed to help make an immediate impact.
