Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a classroom aide or assistant in a dynamic academic environment near Horseheads, NY. This long-term contract role offers the chance to work closely with young learnersmany of whom require individualized attention due to medical or behavioral needs. Collaborate with education professionals and be a vital presence for students with a variety of support requirements.

Available Positions & Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to students.
• Work specifically with students who may be medically fragile or require help with mobility and daily living tasks, including those who are wheelchair users.
• Provide ongoing support to young adults with autism spectrum disorder or multiple disabilities, helping with curriculum engagement, daily routines, and fostering independence.
• Maintain a caring, safe environment; assist with physical and classroom management.
• Participate in specialized training, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), to build a strong skill set for helping students with unique needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional, teachers aide/assistant, or CNA with school-age childrenespecially those needing behavior or medical support.
• For assistant roles: Active New York State Teachers Assistant Certification.
• For aide roles: Experience in preschool or school settings, ideally with a background in behavioral support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and flexible approach.
• Ability to work onsite across locations including Hornell, Elmira Heights, and Horseheads, NY.
