Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Missouri substitute certificate or a paraprofessional certificate is required
• Experience or coursework in working with students with special needs, particularly in functional skills and resource settings, is highly valued
• Flexibility to support multiple grade levels as needed (grades 1, 3, and 4)
• Adaptability and enthusiasm to provide individualized support in a dynamic classroom
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, patient attitude with a student-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic, functional, and behavioral objectives outlined by teachers and specialists
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in both functional skills and resource rooms
• Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by educational plans
• Support safe, inclusive learning environments that promote student engagement
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and related service providers
• Assist with classroom organization, management, and activities as needed
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the instructional team
