Full-Time Paraprofessional Openings (K8 Caseloads) | Levittown, PA

Assignment Details

• Caseload: K–8 (various classrooms and support settings)

• Start Date: August 13, 2025

• End Date: June 12, 2026

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Hours/Week: 37.5

• Pay Rate: $18–$23/hour (based on experience)

• Renewal: Based on performance and district needs

Daily Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and individual support to students

• Assist teachers in the implementation of instructional plans

• Support students with IEPs or 504 plans as needed

• Aid in behavior management and redirection strategies

• Help students develop academic and social-emotional skills

• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions

• Collaborate with school staff and follow teacher direction

• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years working in a school or special education setting as a paraprofessional

• Commute: Must live within 35 minutes of Pearl S. Buck Elementary

• Availability: Must be available to work the full schedule listed above

• Orientation: Mandatory orientation required before assignment start — no exceptions

State of Pennsylvania Paraprofessional Requirements

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

1. Completed two years of post-secondary study (48 college credits)

2. Hold an Associate’s degree or higher

3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality through a state or local assessment
       • Acceptable credentials include:
         - Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
         - Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators (issued by PDE and PaTTAN)

Options 1 and 2 require an official transcript or degree confirmation.

Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
