This contract opportunity centers on individualized support for a 4th grade and an 11th grade female student, both of whom are medically fragile and require personal care during the school day. What you'll need:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school setting
• Familiarity with supporting students who have medical needs is highly desirable
• Comfort with personal care tasks, including toileting and diapering
• Willingness to be trained on using adaptive equipment such as Hoyer lifts (prior experience is a plus, but not required)
• Ability to remain patient and calm when supporting students exhibiting challenging behaviors
• Collaborative mindset and reliable attendance
• Commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity

Your key responsibilities:

• Provide essential 1:1 assistance throughout the school day to assigned students
• Offer support with daily living activities, including hygiene and mobility as needed
• Facilitate students participation in classroom routines and activities
• Work closely with special education staff, therapists, and teachers
• Implement approved behavioral strategies for students
• Attend weekly team meetings every Tuesday at 8:00 am
• Uphold a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students
