Teacher's Aide - Live Oak, California

What Youll Need:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
• Confidence and composure working with students with high-intensity behavioral and learning needs
• Ability to follow directions from instructional staff and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility, patience, and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic classroom environment
• Reliably commute to the area near Live Oak, CA and commit to a full-time weekday schedule

Role Duties:

• Support academic, behavioral, and social goals set for students with Level 3 Autism
• Assist with classroom tasks, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and reinforcing learning objectives
• Provide one-on-one supervision and intervention to ensure safety and engagement throughout the school day
• Employ de-escalation strategies as needed, while fostering a supportive atmosphere
• Communicate daily with teaching staff, therapists, and families as necessary to ensure coordinated care

This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing consistent weekday work. Youll be placed in a setting with a strong support system and gain invaluable experience while making a meaningful impact for an intense, highly rewarding caseload.
