Teacher's Aide - Maple Grove, Minnesota

Make a difference supporting young learners in an early childhood education setting by providing dedicated assistance as a paraprofessional for students ages 2 1/2 to 3 years. This contract position offers the opportunity to build foundational, school-readiness skills in a center-based program where your expertise will help set children up for long-term success.

Key Qualifications:

• Must meet Minnesotas highly qualified paraprofessional criteria with one of the following:
  • Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (documentation required)
  • At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas or degrees not accepted)
• Previous experience in an educational, child care, or early childhood environment working with young children is preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in a classroom setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and additional staff
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students aged 2 1/2 to 3 years in classroom routines, educational activities, and social interaction
• Assist with individualized and group learning, including hands-on activities, play-based tasks, and life skills practice
• Provide behavioral support and encouragement to foster a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with lead teachers to adapt lessons and instructional materials for individual student needs
• Monitor safety and support for children throughout the school day
• Document progress and share observations with the education team

Perks and Details:

• Contract runs from September 8, 2026, through December 7, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00am2:30pm
• After completing 422 contract hours, eligible for direct hire consideration by the district
